Guy Pearce cemented himself in my mind with his stellar performance in Chris Nolan’s Memento. Anytime I hear the name “Guy” my mind immediately sprints to images of Madonna and/or the referenced Chris Nolan movie with today’s news sharing that another, possibly, memorable movie being added to his filmography.

Guy Pearce had been spotted roaming around the set of Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus.’ Nothing had been formally announced, so it was a bit strange to hear that he had already gotten down to business. Intrigued, the Playlist decided to make a few phone calls and have been able to confirm with Pearce’s representatives that the actor has indeed joined the cast of the film. They weren’t however, able to find out who Pearce’s character will be…
…Thus far, the cast includes Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Rafe Spall in what are believed to be pivotal roles. ‘Prometheus’ is scheduled to be one of next summer’s big sci-fi films as it’s set for release on June 8, 2012.
I like this cast and I like this director, and I love when a production adds on appreciable talent. So far this movie is looking to be one of those to put on the ‘radar’ keep an eye for more information on as it’s posturing itself to becoming a fun summer movie for 2012. I’m pretty intrigues about this movie taking place in the same universe as Aliens and look forward to finding out what elements from that franchise translate over into this one. I don’t have a lot to say about this movie but I do like that the few thoughts I do have on this one are positive.
