This is appearantly not new at all, but when I saw it over at /Film I just had to share it here.
This infographic maps out significant connections of those involved in Star Wars and what they eventually accomplished in the film and gaming industries. Pretty impressive to see this all stem from a revolutionary space western created over three decades ago.

John Knoll created my favourite graphic editing softwarePhotoshop, Editdroid spawned Avid and ILM birthed Pixar which was bought by Steve Jobs, who created Apple.
To suggest that any of these people would not have had the success they accomplished without Star Wars is a bit of a stretch. Clearly talent was recognized and having that on your resume has to help.
Just interesting to see the “family tree” stemming from this one product.
The Force is strong in these ones.
