The producers of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz bring us yet another film that is STILL not the third movie in Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy as Wright has nothing to do with this production.
Still, it looks like a lot of fun as an oddball cast of tough streetwise kids face off against an alien invasion.
Attack the Block follows a gang of tough inner-city kids who try to defend their turf against an invasion of savage alien creatures, turning a South London apartment complex into an extraterrestrial warzone.
This does look like it would be a fitting peice to round out Wright’s Trilogy, and one day he will get around to his proposed “The Worlds End”, but for now this will have to do.
Looks great to me.
