I have lots of fond, but bloody, memories of Jean Claude Van Damme doing some major Van Damage to poor poor saps who happened to wrong him or a loved one of his throughout my childhood. The 80’s was full of the ‘macho’ and JCVD was the epitome of such, and it’s with pleasure that I learn that he will be returning to his 80’s roots.

In SIX BULLETS, Van Damme will play a mercenary hired to help track down and rescue a martial arts fighter’s missing daughter. The film is budgeted at $10 million, and will begin shooting in August under director Ernie Barbarash (ASSASSINATION GAMES).
$10 Million dollars? Will Smith’s trailer cost at least 11! I’m not familiar with this director aside from his production credit on ‘American Psycho’ so I will withhold an opinion until otherwise. Something gives me the impression that this will be an “at home” affair and will involve me sticking a disc inside my PS3. Either way, It’s on the ‘radar’.
