Bruce Wayne had been in a bit of a rut with regard to secret hideouts in the last Batman film. Sure the underground bunker he used in The Dark Knight Returns was fitted with the latest and greatest Batman technical doo-dads and Alfred maintained his bachelor pad in Wayne Tower but c’mon, real bat-hero’s have a whole chamber/cave devoted to their war on crime and outfit it with trophies, over-sized pennies, and old costumes. It seems Nolan is in agreement as we can check out some of the construction on the recently re-rebuilt Wayne Manor after Bruce and Ra’s took turns burning down each others’ homes in the first film.

House looks cool and the lawn looks pretty healthily fertilized, but let’s instead focus on the graveyard that’s being constructed. This is by no means the same as placing roses on a lamppost in Crime Alley, but it seems that the dear Dark Knight may be intending to pay some respects to his deceased parents. Bout time. I have no idea how this will impact the plot in the latest film, or how to erase the image of Hathaway gun butting random cronies, but this is interesting to look at. Anybody spot anything good in the shots that I missed?
