While out promoting her latest outing in the Taylor Lautner led ‘Abduction’, someone approached the actress about Ghostbusters. When quizzed on the subject she was surprisingly forthcoming about what information she did and did not know.

As for a third “Ghostbusters”, she says “I have yet to read the script. I’ve had a couple of calls and I know they’re rewriting and all I said was that I hope my son, Oscar, has grown up to be a Ghostbuster and Ivan Reitman said yes. Beyond that, I have no idea. I hope it comes together, but we already did two wonderful films and, if we have to let this one go, that’s fine.”
It’s been a while since I mentioned anything sequel related with this franchise because I hate being teased and teasing others. This may be one of the few pieces of “news” regarding progression of the movie in a while so I decided it might be worth sharing. Thanks to “news” like this I know that Venkman’s a ghost and Oscar is a Ghostbuster. I like this idea, now we just have to get this these ideas and translate them into a cohesive, witty, and entertaining film, but I won’t hold my breath.
