Ice Cube confirms a 4th Friday in works with Chris Tucker

Happy Friday everybody! It’s been 17 years since the original Friday was released and became an almost instant cult classic. It’s almost impossible to specify what about that movie caused so much appeal but it’d been clear that the sequels to the film, while entertaining, were missing something. According to the folks at TMZ it seems that Ice Cube is keen on the idea of reuniting the entire cast of the original Friday film for a potential fourth entry.

Ice Cube has finally confirmed he’s resurrecting the ‘Friday’ franchise … telling TMZ the goal is to bring back the entire ORIGINAL cast … including Chris Tucker.

A rep for Cube Vision Productions tells us … “Absolutely yes the studio is in the process of getting the entire original cast to do another ‘Friday.'”

The statement continues, “[Ice Cube] is very excited about this and has every intention to make it happen.”

Just last month, TMZ spoke with the musclebound behemoth who played DeBo … who told us both he and Chris Tucker are down to reunite for the 4th installment of the ‘Friday’ franchise … but they still have to work out their contracts.

Well, with Nia Long just having had a baby I guess she needs to get in shape for all of us to rubberneck as she jogs by and exclaim “DAAAAAAAAAMN” in unison. I don’t like every Ice Cube movie but I do like just about everything he’s done with the Friday franchise and I’m definitely up for any plans to return Chris Tucker to the franchise. Maybe they can even manage to get both Chris Tucker and Mike Epps involved, and throw in some Tiny “D-Bo” Lester and I’m sold. John Withersoon already expressed an interest and I’m sure Terry Crews is willing to show up and flex his pecks in front of anyone with a camera. This is sounding better and better with more thought.
