This isn’t all that surprising really. After Patty Jenkins and Thor 2 split ways a few weeks back a new director was hired by the name of Alan Taylor. Well, I get the impression that he’s actually making some headway with regard to production of this film as the movie is now undergoing re-writes courtesy of Robert Rodat.

Rodat is reworking a draft by Don Payne. Disney will put the film into production later this year for release in 2013 with Chris Hemsworth returning as the title character. The sequel changed when Taylor, a prolific director of TV series including Game of Thrones, replaced Monster helmer Patty Jenkins.
The man wrote ‘Saving Private Ryan’, ‘The Patriot’, and is also penning Warcraft for Sam Raimi. Needless to say I feel this script is in some capable hands and also offers a little insight. A man known for writing about wars and battlefields is putting his magic touch on Thor 2. Is Thor preparing for some type of epic battle? Veeeerrry interesting…
