This new 21 Jump Street film has me on the fence. In some ways it looks pretty funny and like it might contain some decent laughs. In other ways it seems to totally distance itself from the source material with the only common denominator being in the name. It’s a little disappointing for those of us who are fans of the show and wanted to see something along those lines. Oh well, today we have a new poster for the film that shows the main actors Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum waving their guns.

This makes me think of the recent ad campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 that featured Sam Worthington and Jonah Hill as the ‘noob’ and the ‘veteran’. It’s certainly going to enjoy capitalizing on the popularity of that campaign but I have to admit that the poster is not that inspiring. Meh.
