It looks like the fans aren’t the only ones responding to Michael Bay’s changes to the TMNT origin story. Leonardo, Michaelangelo, and April O’Neil have their voiced their opinions also…well the people who portrayed them in the 1990 film. Robbie Rist (voice of Michaelangelo) has gone on record saying what Michael Bay is doing is “the rape of our childhood memories”. While Rist has a negative opinion, his co-stars Brian Tochi (voice of Leonardo) and Judith Hoag (April O’Neil) both are in agreement that they trust Michael Bay’s judgement.
Since then, Robbie Rist, who voiced Michaelangelo in the original film trilogy, said that what Bay is doing is “the rape of our childhood memories.” But now comes word that Brian Tochi, who voiced Leonardo, is not worried about Bay creating a new origin for the characters. “If Michael Bay wants to do a different take on the turtles origin story … Mazel Tov,” he said.
And Judith Hoag, who played April O’Neil, just revealed to TMZ that she’s excited to see what Bay comes up with, mostly because “I was in ‘Armageddon’ … which Michael directed … as well as ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’ and ‘I Am Number Four’ which he produced.”

The Michael Bay story has been catching so much press I thought I’d have a little fun with this and respond as if the “actual” characters were responding rather than the people who portrayed them. Here is my take on the responses:
We all know that Michaelangelo is a party dude so he’s going to want to be partying on Earth since birth. He’s not going to be too thrilled about traveling light years living on space food while fantasizing about an extra large pepperoni pie once he gets to Earth…he wants his pizza now! Leonardo leads, so he’s going to set an example and stick to the rules, and who sets the rules…Michael Bay. April has been a victim of villainous plots since she became friends with the turtles. Her reasoning for wanting an alien origin would be to have a break from trouble, not everyone can handle being kidnapped every other day. Finally if Raphael responds expect a cool but crude response and Donatello will probably be too busy with machine work to have an opinion.
