‘Django Unchained’ is currently filming so I certainly did not expect to hear that any cast previously confirmed cast members would be dropping out of the project, let alone JGL, but that’s exactly what’s happened. It appears that the workaholic just can’t find the time to make it to the set no matter how small of a role he was offered due to his hectic schedule. Levitt did happen to talk to MTV about leaving this project and offered the following:
“No, I’m not going to get to do that. I’d love to, but it just doesn’t work.” He went on to say he’s been in contact with Tarantino and that “it was so cool to trust me to do this little part in his movie. I would have loved, loved to have done it. He’s one of my very favorite filmmakers, and he was really supportive of me directing and that meant the world to me.”
I typically roll my eyes when most people in Hollywood suffer a ‘Scheduling Conflict’ and write it off as them just wanting more money and it not coming into fruition. I honestly don’t think that’s the case with JGL as he seemingly gives his best effort to compete with James Franco and Samuel L. Jackson to appear in the most films in a calendar year.
