Kevin Eastman is the co-creator of the Ninja Turtles. We all know that. What I can’t figure out, for the life of me, is how this guy is saying that this new incarnation is the best ever! How far along is this movie in production?! I didn’t get the memo that this thing had a complete cast yet. MTV caught up with the guy and either he’s saw something really amazing in footage, or in his bank account. You be the judge.
“From what I’ve seen, it’s easily the best ‘Turtle’ movie yet. We’re talking ‘Raid: Redemption’-style fight scenes; we’re talking about epic ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ sort of effects.”
“A lot of people are worried we pushed the release date from December to May, but the 30th anniversary of the ‘Turtles’ is in May, so it worked out perfectly.”
I haven’t even LOOKED at a computer animation program in at least 10 years but doesn’t it take a while to create this stuff? Has he seen storyboards? What is he referring to? Ever since the announcement of aliens it seems like every tom dick and jane has come out of the woodworks to say how great this film will be and we’re still a year and a half away from release!
I’m done. The movie is coming no matter what I say and at this point I don’t wanna hear about how great it is, I wanna see how ‘great’ it is and judge for myself. All tihs damage control makes it seem like they’re polishing up a turd at this point and if that’s the case all I have to look forward to is the equivalent of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, which is not good.
