I just stumbled across a new international poster for Django Unchained, and I wanted to share this one to kinda highlight the contrasting art styles used to promote this film abroad. So far most of 1st wave of domestic promotion of the film consisted of illustrative materials focusing on a red and white palette, with the current wave focusing on the actual performers within the film. This poster however is an interesting amalgamation of all of the above.
It’s like cowboys paying homage to Japan… or DiCaprio is in Japan… or something. I like the toned out color scheme and some of the filters that were applied. It’s actually one of the better posters I’ve seen recently it just kinda stands out as the black sheep among all the other materials put out for this film.
