Wizard World Chicago is upon us. One of the largest comic cons is taking over Chicago this weekend and I’m amped up about it. Starting Thursday afternoon celebs and fans will be invading the Donald E. Stephens convention center in Rosemont, IL. Wizard World Chicago runs from Thursday through Sunday. I will be live on location to cover the panels, events, and interact with the special celebrity guest. Look out for Wizard World interviews and content on The Movie Blog in the coming days.
This years event might have the best lineup of any previous Wizard World’s. Scheduled to be in attendance are Jeremy Renner (Sunday), Stephen Amell (Friday & Saturday), Ben McKenzie (Saturday & Sunday), Burt Reynolds (Saturday), Tobin Bell (Friday & Saturday), and WWE Superstars (The Undertaker, Randy Orton, Paige, and Daniel Bryan). This is certainly a list that will attract a big crowd. I’m salivating at the prospect of interviewing someone like Renner, with the huge movie summer he’s had with Avengers: Age of Ultron and Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation. Ben McKenzie is the lead on one of my favorite shows on television–Gotham. I know I just heard a loud groan from all my fellow colleagues at The Movie Blog (hint: they don’t like Gotham).
Before all the fun gets going on Thursday media night “Kick off the Con” is the place to be on Wednesday night.
Scheduled to appear are:
· Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy, “The Walking Dead”)
· Milo Ventimiglia (“Heroes,” “Gotham”)
· Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints)
· Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Spin City”)
· Chris 51 (“Epic Ink”)
I’m looking forward to chatting with Michael Rooker. Curious to see if he has any info on The Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and would like to ask him on his experience working on the first one. Milo Ventimiglia is known to many Sci-Fi geeks for his role in the NBC’s “Heroes“. Ventimiglia is currently on Gotham. He has appeared in numerous films over the years. Would like to hear his take on the Gotham series. Sean Patrick Flanery was in The Boondock Saints, which has a huge cult following. Barry Bostwick is a film and television veteran. Chris 51, don’t know much about him, but Epic Ink does have a hardcore audience.
Should be a fun night at media night, looking forward to the Wizard World Chicago kick-off, I will be there to provide the latest news coming out of the event.
