Marvel announces 3 more movies

Marvel took to the webs to announce 3 more movies on their lengthy lineup of upcoming films… but they’re a mystery! So far the movies seem to be at the tail end of their upcoming lineup. Now one can’t help but wonder what these movies may be!

Following our hero’s debut adventure in this summer’s “Ant-Man,” Scott Lang will return alongside Hope Van Dyne on July 6, 2018 with Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The sequel will mark the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine.

Additionally, Ant-Man’s second adventure will lead to a couple of other films shifting their dates, with Marvel’s “Black Panther” moving up to February 16, 2018 and Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” landing on March 8, 2019.

Finally, three untitled Marvel Studios films will premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.

The fact that Marvel has intentions to continue releasing films is a no-brainer, but what those movies may entail is anyone’s guess. Here are my best guesses:

Amazing-Spider-Man-1-topA Spider-Man sequel. With the first of the new Spider-Man films scheduled to arrive in 2017 it actually seems logical that a sequel would only have a gap of 2-3 years. The next movie would logically react to whatever takes place throughout the rest of the Marvel Universe so it’s not all that odd that Marvel is keeping tight-lipped on revealing this movie lest they want to offer out some story revelations.

SamFalconCaptainAmericaA fourth Captain America movie. The fallout of Civil War has yet to be revealed but with RDJ simply being too expensive to employ in a solo-outing and the last Captain America film receiving raving reviews it’s not far fetched to think that Marvel would like to continue releasing movies for the character. Chris Evans has recently stated that he’s willing to reprise the character for as long as Marvel will have him. There’s also fan speculation that the Captain America mantle could potentially be handed to either Sepbastian Stan or Anthony Mackie if Marvel chooses to go that route.

HulkHulk. Marvel has had the rights to use the character in Avengers films but Universal Pictures has been keeping the rights for a solo film in a vice grip for years now. It’s clear that there’s an interest from Marvel to do more with the character and since Universal has given up on making movies with the ‘Green Goliath’ one could easily surmise that there are at least discussions for Marvel to make a film with Universal’s blessing in a similar way that they are handling Spider-Man.

Aside from those, I can’t imagine what else they’d want to produce. What do you think Marvel has up their sleeves?
