You guys are my friends, right? Can I tell you a secret? I was right on the cusp of trying out fantasy sports. After a good 5 or so seasons of watching the, excellent, show The League my interest was piqed and I was curious about trying out fantasy sports. That all went out the window sometime within the last 2 years due to the hyper commercialization of the hobby. While fantasy sports has reached new commercial heights some people have noticed the similarities and one of America’s other favorite past times. John Oliver and Seth Rogen created this hilarious skit to discuss the subject here:
This illustrates my exact fears of trying fantasy sports. I can’t risk my sanity in being sucked into this thing. I’m sure there are some success stories out there but Lord knows I won’t be one of them. Thank you John and Seth for putting my feelings into hilarious video.
