I don’t see myself as that guy that complains about the overwhelming about of CGI infesting theatrical releases but for some reason while watching this trailer I just felt an overwhelming disdain for the amount of CGI that was presented. Here, you watch for yourself:
Whether its the fake ocean or fake sunrise or overall fake everything filmed in a green screen studio set I was just completely turned off by the amount of CGI that this movie is doused in. Now the premise itself seems interesting and while Chris Hemsworth isn’t my favorite actor to take on this role I do have a significant amount of confidence in Ron Howard as a director. Hemsworth is difficult to divorce from his character as Thor primarily due to his burly voice I couldn’t help but want to see Mjolnir fly into Hemsworth’s hands and smite that mighty beast.
