Mark Wahlberg in a decent grounded movie called Deepwater Horizon

Mark Wahlberg is hit or miss at best. He’s not a terrible actor but he does occassioanlly appear in terrible movies. That said I notice I tend to like his more ‘street level’ films rather than the ones that involve giant transforming robots or talking bears lately with this movie involving the star in a familial setting.

I’m not sure how I feel that the star has already eclipsed the story with my regard to this film. I don’t yet have enough interest to place this movie on my ‘radar’ but I’m passively optimistic… for now.
