Congrats! Those of you with significant others already have your Valentine’s Day booked. You will be seeing Fifty Shades Darker. So the first trailer for the movie dropped, and it looks PRETTY GOOD. Just the immediately takeaways from it are that it definitely looks more visually stylistic. The masks, fireworks, lavish buildings, costumes. It all looks more upscale.
The first one was criticized for revealing too much in the trailers, this one gives you quite a lot, but there seems to be a lot more suspense and drama happening than in the first one. No rules, but others are getting involved. Apparently Anastasia might be having some flirtations with another man, while having to face the women on Christian’s past. More outside involvement means more intrigue. There should be no shortage of sex, but I also liked the thriller-ish tone to the movie. This one has the potential to be a lot better and cover up the mistakes of the first one. I’m intrigued. Now check out the trailer for yourself and see what you think:
