X-Men 97 Episode 3 Review:

Political Intrigue in Genosha

In Genosha, Magneto, Rogue, and Gambit journey to meet the council that offers Magneto leadership of the country. Magneto accepts, but only if Rogue joins him as a co-leader. This reveals a complex past between Rogue and Magneto, where his unique ability allowed them to have a relationship without harm. As they navigate these political waters, a gala celebrates Genosha’s UN membership.

Heartbreak and Heroism

At the gala, Rogue kisses Magneto, realizing her error in choosing him over Gambit. The celebration is brought to a halt by the arrival of a time-traveling Cable, who reveals himself as an adult Nathan, Jean and Cyclops’s son. Before Cable can warn the X-Men, an advanced Master Mold and Sentinels attack, causing devastation. Gambit sacrifices himself to destroy Master Mold, leaving Rogue heartbroken and questioning her choices.

Final Thoughts

“Remember It” is a poignant episode filled with emotional complexity and dramatic sacrifices. The intertwining relationships and the intense battle scenes make this installment a standout. A perfect, award-deserving, episode.
