All you loyal ‘Transporter’ fans rejoice! It turns out you will get to see Jason Statham kick ass once again as your favorite chauffeur/fighting machine, Frank.
Comingsoon.net gives us these details:
Jason Statham will reprise his role as Frank in Transporter 3, the next installment in EuropaCorp’s franchise.
He will reteam with co-star Francois Berleand, while Robert Knepper (“Prison Break”) has joined the cast.
As was reported last month, Louis Leterrier, who directed the first two pics, has been replaced by Olivier Megaton (Exit, The Red Siren), who was second-unit director on EuropaCorp’s Hitman.
Hmm…I know a lot of fans are pumped up about this news, but I’m a little skeptical about this. First off, I loved the first one, yet HATED the second film. I’m not sure if I want to see another ‘Transporter’ film, but I know a lot of guys out there that are.
Also, having the second-unit director of ‘Hitman’ directing this movie kind of worries me. However, if the guy who directed ‘The Pallbearer’ can direct ‘Cloverfield,’ than maybe I shouldn’t judge just yet. :)
So are you ready to see Jason Statham return as ‘Frank?’ (I’m more excited to see HOW he reprises his role in ‘Crank 2.’)
