Hellboy hottie Selma Blair has scored a role as a lesbian teacher that has a taste for student in the black comedy Driving Lessons. We get the scoop from the fabled caves of yahoo:
Selma Blair is in final negotiations to play a lesbian high school teacher romantically involved with a student in the indie black comedy “Driving Lessons.” Madeline Zima, who plays David Duchovny’s underage fling in Showtime’s “Californication,” has enrolled as Blair’s love interest.
“Driving Lessons” revolves around a woman (Hope Davis) given a second shot at her unhappy marriage after losing her memory. It conveniently helps her forget an interracial affair with her burly neighbor Simon (Chi McBride). Dermot Mulroney plays her husband, and Max Thieriot her religious, right-wing son.
This sounds like a quirky film that could end up being a lot of fun. Amnesia is extremely fascinating. I went to school with a man named Ken, during a basketball game he hit his head and lost much of his memory. After the accident his taste in music changed drastically, all of a sudden he had an insatiable desire to hear Aqua as much as possible. He was a big rough and tumble country boy and we all found it hilarious to hear “Barbie Girl” blaring out of his room non stop. He was unapologetic however and stood by his musical preference. We championed his unwavering dedication to Aqua. It makes you wonder what you would like if you didn’t have a lifetime of memory reminding you of what isn’t appropriate.
Teachers have been banging students for as long as classrooms have been around. I had some pretty delicious teachers as a teenager and often look back at my high school years with regret, because I wasn’t molested. I think many people share in this fantasy; that is why it makes for such delightful story telling.
Production for Driving Lessons begins this week and I look forward to keeping you up to speed on the news!
