It looks like Patrick Swayze is being courted (heath willing) to star in a Point Break sequel! We get this magnificent news thanks to Daily India via the moviehole:
Cancer-stricken movie star Patrick Swayze is expected to reprise his role in the sequel to the hit 1991 film ‘Point Break.’ If his health allows, the 55-year-old star would be reliving his character of ‘Bodhi’ for the film, reports Contactmusic.
According to The Sun, the sequel is due to be shot in Singapore and Indonesia, however, the cast for the movie is as yet unconfirmed.
A Point Break sequel should only happen if Patrick Swayze is involved. To see him back as an older drifter/surfer that has stayed one step ahead of the law would be an outlandish delight. Sir Patrick Swayze is currently embroiled in a death match with cancer, and after he defeats his opponent, I can think of no better way to celebrate than with a return to the Bodhi character.
Fuck you cancer; surfs up!
I will keep my ears to the tracks for further news about this project, and with luck, we will soon see Swayze back on the beach.
