We have some awesome news regarding a Jeff Dean picture that features an unbelievable cast of B-List gold! We get the following scoop from our friends at the moviehole:
“Police Academy” stars Leslie Easterbrook (‘Callahan’), Marion Ramsey (‘Hooks’) and Bubba Smith (‘Hightower’) have reunited for – sorry, not “Police Academy 8 : The Hunt for Mahoney”, but – “Daze Vol. 2”, a comedy starring Corey Haim and Gary Busey (a reunion for those two as well; they starred in the 80s spooker “Silver Bullet” together).
The Jeff Dean written/directed pic takes place over three days where a radio contest provides a series of events that juxtapose the struggle to obtain money or love. The film’s three interweaving stories have a different visual style, color, and theme. The red day is about love, the green day is about money, and the blue day is about death.
According to moviehole, this film was put together for $ 200, 000! Gary Busey, Corey Haim, Richard Moll and a few of the stars of Police Academy is a fucking steal for the money. This is a great example of someone using actors that are familiar and reasonably priced!
I cannot believe the cast they have assembled, it is outstanding. I am abuzz with curiosity and cannot wait to see this ensemble play out the film. I am a big fan of the first three Police Academy films, and am super pumped to see a few cast members back together again – especially the naughty cop officer Callahan (Leslie Easterbrook.)
Jeff Dean, you are a resourceful man of vision and I salute you! I cannot wait for this movie.
