JK Rowling has already said rather firmly that there would be no more Harry Potter stories after the 7th book (which will be divided up into two movies, bringing that total movies to eight) but rumours are flying around that say “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will be a ninth mini movie featuring all three of the principal actors of the series.
Could the powers that be, though, actually want a ninth? That’s the word from the “Sunday Mirror,” which ran an item last week stating that J.K. Rowling had written a brand new Potter story that would be turned into a mini-movie starring the films’ principal cast, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson.
Now mark my words, JK Rowling is richer than the Vatican and Universal is paying her a metric pantload of money for the rights to a new theme park that will recreate the locales of the movie. Money can’t get her to write another book. She already wants to do something else. However right now I think she IS writing a small feature that you will only be able to see at the new theme park.
This “mini movie” is going to be a feature as part of those attractions.
Think about it. They produced a Terminator film for a cinematic ride that featured Arnie. They built a ride with a movie involving Doc Brown for Back to the Future the Ride. And the list goes on and on.
The drooling fans will embrace this as another chapter in a desperate hope to see just one more adventure with Harry and his best friends, but this is NOT another movie.
That all being said, I am already planning my vacation to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and I will be geeking out over it with my kids who love this series as much as I do.
