There’s more *new* Ferris Bueller footage within this post. But I’m hurt. I’m really hurt. I really wanted this to lead up to some type of film sequel bringing back the joy and fun of playing hookey. I should have know when watching that previous clip and how it ended by a displaying a date that coincided with the Super Bowl. I should have but I wanted to hold out hope. Here is the full ad with Matthew Broderick somewhat reprising his role as Ferris Bueller for Honda while promoting their latest CRV.
That was fun. More fun than I actually expected and pretty darn long for a Super Bowl ad considering the prices that go along with that reserving that much time to show the whole commercial. It’s bittersweet as I realize that the man still has what it takes to bring back the character and that there are still ways to make his return just as entertaining, but extremely disappointing that this isn’t leading to a feature length film.
You hear me Hollywood?? IT’S DISAPPOINTING THAT THERE ISN’T ANOTHER FERRIS BUELLER MOVIE IN THE WORKS. THERE’S MONEY TO BE MADE HERE! YOU HEAR THAT? MONEY!!!
