The other Culkins have teamed up as on screen brothers in Lymelife. We get word of the film and their involvement thanks to the big smoke caves of Yahoo:
Playing like “Juno” junior, the engagingly irreverent “Lymelife” is a period suburban rites-of-passage story with a pitch-perfect cast headed by Alec Baldwin, Timothy Hutton and not one, but two Culkin brothers — neither of them Macaulay. Developed with the assistance of the Sundance Institute, with Martin Scorsese serving as one of the executive producers, the film marks the assured debut of Derick Martini, who along with his brother Steven also scripted the 1999 Toronto entry “Goat on Fire and Smiling Fish,” which took home the festival’s Discovery Award.
Alec Baldwin (much like San Dimas High school football) rules and any project that has his name on board will immediately command my attention. If Alec Baldwin has a comedic role, it doesn’t matter how bad the film may be, he will offer a performance that will be worth the price of admission. Hid work on SNL is the stuff of legend, and whenever he is on – I try me best to watch.
I wonder if these Culkins are also being pimped out by their parents. Birthing actors may be a way to make a living, but I wouldn’t consider it ethical. This could be sour grapes talking on my part – who knows what ills I would cause with a uterus. It’ s very easy to judge.
