Last time I heard anything about Kick-Ass 2 it was looking pretty bleak. Word on the web was that the film would never happen and we should pretty much give up hope on a sequel. Seems that series creator Mark Miller’s view on the project is the polar opposite and not only will the film be made but also that production will begin soon with filming expected to begin this summer!

Mark is also working with Kick-Ass movie producer Vaughn on Secret Service, the tale of a London rioter hand-picked by MI6 to be a spy.
“We shoot Kick-Ass 2 and American Jesus this summer. Then Matthew and I have Secret Service, which is a neddy James Bond,” Mark explains.
He goes on to talk about a bevvy of different projects he intends to make but my mind lost focus after reading the news about Kick-Ass 2. American Jesus sounds interesting and all and will be sure to capture the attention of the religious leaders if/when it finally gets closer to production and release but Kick-Ass is a way more practical franchise with plenty of opportunity to capture my attention in the long run. Can’t wait to find out more and if how this movie will shape up. Gosh, who else is excited?!
