Lost’s Rebecca Mader has been tapped to join an A-Team for Men Who Stare at Goats. We get the following skinny from our friends at comingsoon:
Rebecca Mader (ABC’s “Lost”) is in final negotiations for the lead female role in Men Who Stare at Goats, the George Clooney- and Grant Heslov-produced adaptation of the book by Jon Ronson. Heslov is directing.
“Goats” is set in Iraq and centers on Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor), a desperate reporter who stumbles upon the story of a lifetime when he meets Lyn Cassady (Clooney), who claims to be a former secret U.S. military psychic soldier who was reactivated after 9/11. Mader will play McGregor’s wife. Stephen Lang also joins the cast that includes Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges, playing an intelligence officer.
Not only does this film have a fantastic title but the cast is spectacular. Mader joins a hall of greats with this one and should be very pleased to be part of this ensemble. Clooney, Spacey, Bridges, McGregor makes for quite the dude list; it’s always a treat to see so many talented actors together riffing off of one another. I am glad all of these avengers are assembling under the sign of the goat.
Verily Ba’al (in goat form) has brought us excellence once again. I sip sap from the oaken goblet in thanks to the lord of Hollywood.
I look forward to this one and will be sure to shoot you the details as they are made available to us.
