Even more remake news coming out today (we talked about They Live a little earlier today). Looks like the studio is gearing up to put out a Romancing The Stone remake. And you know what… I don’t mind the idea.
The original Romancing The Stone with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner was just wonderful (I watched it again about a year ago and enjoyed it every bit as much as I did the first time). But honestly… there aren’t a ton of people over 25 who have seen it and it’s a story, that in my opinion, deserves to be seen.
The idea of a Romancing The Stone remake also fits perfectly under my 4 Rules For Making A Remake… so I say why not?
The big question will be who they get to fill the shoes of Michael Douglas.
