In my opinion, The Golden Globe awards are the the single most useless awards in the entire season. It’s probably the best run awards SHOW, but for all the reasons I listed in a previous post on the issue I generally consider them a joke.
However, there is no denying that Hollywood gives them a lot of weight, so whatever. The nominees for this years Golden Globes have been released, and in general I think it’s a pretty solid and credible list. I’m a bit surprised that The Dark Knight got shut out so completely (aside from Heath Ledgers nomination), but even that didn’t “shock” me.
