Looks like Terminator Salvation’s subtitle, “The End Begins” was a little less suggestive than we thought. The machine is churning out another chapter of the future that shouldn’t have been.
IESB.net reports:{
Halcyon Co. toppers Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek are developing a fifth installment of the man-vs.-machine franchise.
Helmer McG, who directed the upcoming fourth pic, “Terminator Salvation,” is working with the Halcyon duo on the latest project.
The movie still has half a year before it comes out, and they are already calling for another installment. That sounds like confidence to me.
I worry that knowing they are planning a sequel will taint how I perceive this coming movie. Knowing that there is more story after this chapter, can we really expect that John Connor will deliver salvation?
But then should we be surprised? They couldn’t stop Judgment Day the first three times either.
I will have to see if I like Salvation before I get excited about a continuing war. (Not that I would be opposed to more techy effects war stories!!)
