Sean Connery not retiring nor wanting out of Indy 4

connery_cannon.jpgIn contradiction to a couple of stories many of us have run about Sean Connery, both on his retirement and on not appearing in Indiana Jones 4, his publicist has talked to Contact Music seen through Coming Soon.

Contact Music says it talked to Sean Connery’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, who gave an update on the actor’s career.

“He’s not interested in just doing anything, to work for the sake of working… He’s taken some time off to write his memoirs but he hasn’t retired,” says Seltzer.

She added that he would like to reprise his character in Indiana Jones 4. “When I asked him if he’d play Indiana Jones’ father again in another sequel, he said, ‘Of course I would. Don’t be ridiculous.'”

Fantastic news! Really. I thought it was a real shame if we were to lose his talents. He really is what I would class as old school in Hollywood, and just erupts charisma across the screen, even still! Here’s hoping that the twenty gazilionth version of the script actually comes through with him in it…and it’s any good!
