Catherine Hardwicke was certainly a big part of what made the Twilight movie a success, but on the same token with the novel’s popularity they could have made this movie with sock puppets and Zac Efron and it would still have been a hit.

In the book, Hardwicke reveals details about casting, location scouting, wardrobe and her favorite scenes. The book also has behind-the-scenes photos and storyboard sketches, and is designed to replicate the director’s own personal notebook she kept on set.
The publisher is producing a first printing of a half million books and releasing it scant days before the movie gets its DVD release in hopes that drooling Twilight fans will want to suck up all the merchandise related to the film when they grab their copy.
If you are a big Twilight fan, would something like this appeal to you?
