You remember that movie Sin City don’t you? Ringing any bells? C’mon it was only 7 years… Good God, it’s been 7 years since Sin City?! Where has the time gone? How did this happen? Why haven’t they made a sequel yet? That thought process runs through my head every time I discover some tidbits or rumors of a sequel. It was all just talk and no action and it was getting downright frustrating. Well things might finally be looking up as Dimension Films has announced that filming is actually set to begin this summer and will re-team Robert Rodriguez with Frank Miller to split directorial duties on “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” with casting to begin as early as next week.
Robert Rodriguez offered the following about the film:
“The first question I am always asked is, ‘When will you make another Sin City?’ ” said Rodriquez. “I have wanted to reteam with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original but have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations. A Dame to Kill For will certainly be worth the wait.”
Let’s see who returns and who’s added when the casting process begins next week. I for one and more than ready for a sequel and would love to see the stylish return the the criminally littered Neo-Noir world.
