The first picture from the Doom movie is all over the place, I found it on Coming Soon since that’s the first site in my Bloglines list. Quite frankly it’s disappointing. Just a promotional shot of the marines lined up in front of the camera posing…wooo. I’ll leave you to go look…then return quickly.
di-ve are carrying a short update on news from the Spielberg camp regarding the 1972 Munich Olympics movie, it’s scheduled for a June start date for shooting.
Spielberg visited Malta in April 2004 scouting for potential locations for this movie. In August, the filming was postponed due to what was described the “current, sensitive, political climate” in the world. Several hundreds of extras were also auditioned in Floriana in connection with this film.
Universal has confirmed that filming will take place in Wroclaw, Poland.
Strong and emotionally taught are very apt words for what this will become, a nice return to some weighty material for Spielberg, and holding a lot of promise for a great movie.
