Hostage Director to helm Die Hard 4.0?

Bruce_DieHard.jpgGreat news for Die Hard 4.0 from Coming Soon. Bruce Willis has apparently asked Florent Siri, Director of Hostage to Direct the much sought after sequel.

In an interview at AlloCin√ɬ©.com, Hostage director Florent Siri says that he has been asked by that film’s star Bruce Willis to direct Die Hard 4.0. Hostage screenwriter Doug Richardson is rewriting a script by Mark Bomback, who redrafted a pre-existing Fox script called “WorldWar3.com.”

In the article, Siri says that he hasn’t read the fourth installment’s script yet and is waiting to read it before giving his response. He also adds that he doesn’t only want to make action movies, so it will be interesting to see whether or not he takes on another actioner so soon.

He seems to thrive in the action realm though, having Directed the last two Splinter Cell games, Hostage and a French action film. Oh, he has done one other French movie that’s not action, but it didn’t seem to go down so well.

I think this would be a great choice, especially after seeing, and loving, Hostage so much. Excellent movie and I think Siri would give a fitting end to the series. Thoughts? Think there’s someone better?
