I really enjoyed the over the top action of Wanted, and though I never got around to the graphic novel, I found the movie was a fun ride. Despite the awesome presence that Angelina Jolie gave in that movie (damn she was sexy in that) but it was James McAvoy that proved himself as a viable action star which I didn’t see coming.
Now there is talk about a sequel with Jolie and McAvoy returning.

While Jolie seems to indicate in no uncertain terms that her character isn’t likely to return for a sequel, there’s always the chance that she was being coy and didn’t want to reveal anything about the plot, right? Well, that’s not all that has us scratching our heads.
Back in November 2008, we brought you the news of an interview Jolie gave the L.A. Times in which she discussed her final scene in the film.
“In the original, she doesn’t kill herself,” said Jolie. “I actually changed the ending. I said, ‘If she was to find out she had killed people unjustly and was a part of something that wasn’t fair, then she should take her own life.’”
So it sounds like it was Jolie that steered the result of that final bullet which certainly seemed to exclude her from the possibility of a sequel.
I don’t know how they expect to make a sequel out of this without playing with continuity. But honestly, as much as I liked the first movie (and Jolie in it) I don’t think I would care if she was in the sequel, and considering how and we she went out in the first, I think it would take away from the film if she WAS in it for more than a flashback.
