The Haunting In Connecticut To Get Follow Up Film

Generally when you hear about sequels getting made, the originals made a big splash at the box office that give the studios confidence to move forward with another one. The Haunting In Connecticut wasn’t by any means a failure at the box office, taking in over $55 million, but it wasn’t exactly a smash hit either. But then again, they’re not really talking about a sequel, but more a follow up.

The word is that they’re looking at shooting The Haunting In Georgia. Not a sequel per se, and would have completely different characters. The folks over at AICN give us this:

The producers of THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT are mulling a similarly themed follow-up to the film…to be called THE HAUNTING IN GEORGIA…meaning it’ll probably feature hickier ghosts. Ti West (THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and the forthcoming CABIN FEVER 2) will direct the new film.

Hey, if they can make these films for $20 million and enough people wanna see them that it makes $60 million, why not?
