Jack Black as Wrestling Priest!

JackBlack.jpgNo originality in Hollywood? Well, actually that’s totally right, apart from the very odd moment where something totally left field and magical pops up, and I think this might very well be one of those.

Jack Black is set to star in a movie about a Mexican Priest who moonlights as a Wrestler to save an orphanage! Woa! Hold up…take a second to re-read that. Wrestler?! Coming Soon have it:

Jack Black will topline, Jared Hess will direct and Mike White and Hess co-script a new Nickelodeon Movies film. Variety says Black will portray a Mexican priest who secretly moonlights as a masked wrestler in order to save an orphanage from closure.

The untitled project, inspired by a true-life story…

Well hopefully it won’t turn out to be a full on kids-fest, but more in the mould of School of Rock which was for a much wider audience. Could this be a shining light in the darkness of remakes?
