Dylan Dog movie Dead of Night

DylanDog.jpgA new script has just been bought by Platinum Studios which will convert another comic character to the movie screen, Dead of Night. I can’t say I’ve read any Dylan Dog, but the premise sounds familiar and interesting. From Done Deal.

An ex-cop turned private investigator, is one of the few living humans to know the truth about the supernatural beings that exist on the fringes of the modern world. He takes on cases involving vampires, werewolves, zombies, and other strange creatures — sometimes as adversaries, and sometimes as clients. He always gets his man√¢‚Ǩ‚Äùalive, dead, or undead…

…To be based on the Italian comic series “Dylan Dog” and inspired by events in two “Dylan Dog” graphic novels. Platinum’s Scott Mitchell Rosenberg will produce. Ervin Rustemagic will executive produce. Aaron Severson and Jay Burns will co-produce.

Written by Joshua Oppenheimer and Tom Donnelly. Oppenheimer’s writing credits include Sahara, A Sound of Thunder and Cowboys and Aliens – an interesting idea of Cowboys and Indians versus aliens!

Is it me or isn’t the above plot just Constantine? Perhaps some Dog fan can point out the differences for us.
