Some people in Hollywood just love to work together. Tim Burton and his hetero lifemate Johnny Depp happen quite often. Sam Raimi gets a Bruce Campbell cameo going. And now we might be seeing the beginning of a new Bromance in Hollywood as once again Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr set to team up on another film.
Oh, its NOT Avengers? Really? Cowboys and Aliens? That could be cool too.
After working together on “Iron Man” and its sequel, Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr are now re-teaming for another comic-book property: “Cowboys and Aliens.” Favreau has stated that “Cowboys” will be his next directing gig, which could mean that he will not helm “The Avengers.”
I look forward to seeing Downey as a cowboy in an alien invasion flick. That just sounds fun as all hell.
But what does this mean for Avengers? I was all comfy in my expectations of Avengers as each character installment shapes up nicely, and knowing that Favreau had the D-Chair. But now I feel like we are raising a litter of awesome puppies and we don’t know who is directing so my gut reaction assumes they will be throwing the bag full in the river.
Why does the unknown breed such extreme fear?
