Paul Giamtti is King John in IRONCLAD

I have heard very little about the medieval adventure film Ironclad, and while just about any medieval film would have my attention, this just jumped to the top of my curiosity list.

Two words: Paul Giamatti

Collider reports:

Paul Giamatti has just been cast as King John in the upcoming medieval action flick “Ironclad”. King John is the villain* and he’s throwing down against a “Seven Samurai” (except knights instead of samurai) led by a formidable Knights Templar played by James Purefoy.

To top this off nicely the Knights Templar who are rallying against the evil King John (Different from the PRINCE John that Robin Hood ousted I presume) will be lead by James “Solomon Kane/Marc Anthony” Purefoy.

Giamatti makes any film an instant bid on my list, and I just LOVED Rome to freaking bits, in which Purefoy was brilliant.

Give me this movie NOW.
