I am a huge comic book fan. And when I saw this trailer for Dig Comic I just had to share.
This is the Trailer for Dig Comics, which screened at 2009 Vancouver International Film Festival.
Part history of and part plea for renewed interest in comic books, this documentary talks with comic creators and retailers about the medium and current state trying to find out what happened to America’s affection for comics.
Its an interesting phenomenon looking at the numbers and how comic books were the entertainment of choice in a previous age and now they are a niche hobby read.
Comics and Graphic novels offer a unique visual into storytelling and is truely an artform. I would love to catch this documentary short sometime to really see this guy’s mission.
Some quick shoutouts to my comic book news fixes I get online, Casey McKinnon’s A Comicbook Orange, The Stack and The Nerdy Bird and of course Comic Book Resources
