One of the better marketing trends over the last couple of years has been for filmmakers to keep an online video journal to sort of follow the making of the film. I think Star Wars: The Phantom Menace may have been the first film to sort of do this.
Anyway, Rodney pointed me to Bryan Singer’s online video journal from the set of Superman Returns… and I’ve got to say they’re really interesting. I started watching 1 and I ended up sitting through 8 of them (there are currently 17 installments online that you can watch). It gives you some behind the scenes stuff… a few small story details and some nice visuals too.
Unlike X-Men 3, my expectation level for Superman Returns just keeps getting higher (which worries me a little).
