Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure became one of those quiet little films that was supposed to make a few bucks at the boxoffice, but instead went on to become a part of pop-culture history. A successful sequel ensued. If those films had been made post 2002 we’d already be talking about Bill and Ted part 8.
However, over the last couple of years, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter (you know… the other guy) have spoke about the possibility of going back to revisit Bill and Ted again. The idea for a possible reuniting seems like an interesting one. Looking at the now middle aged lives of these formers rockers. Hell, just for novelty sake I’d be interested in seeing that. Not to mention it’s still the only character Reeves plays in every single one of his movies… so why not call a spade a spade and just play the actual character again with the correct name?
Apparently Winter has been working on a script for the project since 2003. Will we ever see at Bill and Ted’s 3? I’ll go out on a line here and predict YES. I know that sounds weird… but the box office potential for a film like this is far to big to be ignored. Only time will tell.
