Joe Wright’s Hanna, will mark the next film for Saoirse Ronan as a girl trained to be an assassin from birth.
USA Today has debuted the first look at Saoirse Ronan as the title character in Joe Wright’s upcoming feature Hanna in which Ronan plays a young girl, raised from childhood to be the perfect assassin by her ex-CIA man father (Eric Bana) in rural Finland.
Wow, that doesn’t sound at all like the premise behind Hit-Girl from Kick-Ass.
But then the idea is hardly original, so we can let it slide. It just seems odd that so close to the release of Kick-Ass we get another girl child assassin type.
Ronan was innocently captivating in The Lovely Bones and I was wondering how long it would take to see her face again.
This is one I will be keeping an eye out for.
