Remember when they were talking about getting Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn to direct First Class (after Singer was ruled out)? Well its a good thing they debunked that rumour because now it looks like he is sitting at the table negotiating for the job.
The on-again, off-again rumor that Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn will direct this X-Men prequel is on again. Reportedly, he’s in final discussions with Fox, and Bryan Singer will produce. Also an encouraging detail: the screenplay has gotten a late polish from the writing duo of Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz, who wrote for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Fringe, and also rewrote the Thor screenplay. So now it actually may live up to the way-too-fun Jeff Parker comics
I would be very encouraged to see that team tackle the First Class film. Everyone involved looks to be a perfect fit.
I really hope that the First Class picks up on the tail of Xavier saving those children at the end of Wolverine.
