Bond news starts coming

Now this could be it, this could be where the news of the new Bond casting starts coming, especially considering that last week were the alleged London romantic screen tests! So here are are two Bond stories, which might be a bit more than rumour!

From Digital Spy the second best Bond Pierce Brosnan has said that he didn’t feel that good playing Bond, in fact he felt like a phony. Interesting to say that after you’ve left or been sacked (whichever is true) and that the alleged screenings have just completed. Perhaps he’s been told he’s not got a chance?

“I had all these stupid one-liners and loathed them,” Pierce told The Mirror. “I felt like such a phony. It never felt real to me and I never felt I had complete ownership of the role. I’d look at myself in the suit and tie, and think ‘What the heck am I doing here?'”

Brosnan has also revealed that he immediately felt relieved after being informed in a telephone call that he had been axed.

He added, “After that kind of titanic jolt to the system, there was a great sense of calm. I thought, ‘F*** it, I can do anything I want to do now.’ I’m not beholden to them or to anyone. I’m not shackled by some contracted image.

“So there was a sense of liberation. The money was amazing, but I’m just glad it’s not my problem any more. One phone call, that’s all it took.”

That’s not exactly what he was saying before, reports from way back say that he was devastated and his family and friends couldn’t believe it.

However, looks like he’s not coming back, so onto the new one, and it’s not Hugh Jackman according to Dark Horizons.

Hugh Jackman has declined the opportunity for a three film deal to play suave British secret agent James Bond reports The Times.

The precise reason for this snub is in dispute. Jackman’s friends insist that he was simply too busy, while others imply that the part “has become a role for an “up-and-coming” actor and not an established personality”. There are also suggestions Jackman feared he would be stereotyped in the role.

So no Hugh, and no Pierce…the waiting is killing me. (That’s British sarcasm by the way). Any thoughts, or just more “get on with it’s”?
