Batman Begins on DVD

DVD Times has details of the release of Batman Begins on DVD. The good news is that they aren’t just releasing the DVD with no extras and fullscreen, then the widescreen and then the Special Ediiton, it looks like they’re all getting released together.

Warner Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Batman Begins for 18th October 2005…

…There will be a standard single-disc edition ($28.98 SRP) available in separate Widescreen and Full Screen versions presenting the film with English and French DD5.1 Surround audio and optional English, French and Spanish subtitles. Bonus features are restricted to DVD-Rom extras in the form of a Batman Begins Mobile Game Demo & Weblinks.

Then you have the only version worthy of your time, a two-disc widescreen special edition ($30.98 SRP) which offers a second disc with the following features…

This is superb news, not only do they know how to do a fantastic comic book adaptation but they also know how to turn out a cracking DVD, it’s just missing an all important audio commentary from Nolan and the cast. Perhaps that’s for the deluxe ultra edition?
